“The continent of litter” is an artwork that attempts to give the viewer a peek into the future of our planet, if the current consumption patterns of the modern way of life continue. One might want to look away, comfortable in the bubble of ignorance, as the landfills threaten to choke the soil and the waters. Sustainable living needs to be encouraged worldwide as the “new paradigm”. The practice can start with something as simple as limiting consumption, increasing the life of a product or finding a new purpose for it.
